Peach Kelli Pop - S/T LP (#2) - Blue Vinyl (/300)
This is the 2nd Peach Kelli Pop album, following up on her debut that came out on Going Gaga a couple years ago. This time out she's on Burger Records who have a limited version on blue vinyl, limited to 300 copies.
Peach Kelli Pop plays an uptempo, breezy pop that, in the hands of someone less skilled, would not typically be my cup of tea. She manages to take elements of bands like Cub and mesh them with hints of The White Wires (a band Allie is also a part of) to create a fun, 60's style party. More than anything, when I listen to this record it really reminds me of the band The Shitbirds, and boy were they great. Maybe Peach Kelli Pop will write some songs about Ren & Stimpy on her next album too...
